Meet the A-Team
The team that designed this website, also known as the A-team, was comprised of eight undergraduates who are studying in the fields of Computer Science, Information Systems, and Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology. The undergraduates were interns at Carnegie Mellon University for six weeks, where they were taught by professors Larry Heimann and Jennifer Foster. The team was instructed on HTML, PHP, MYSQL, Flash, and on Teamwork Principles. The A-team quickly discovered the working habits of their teammates and learned to deal with the unique talents each team member had to offer. The team worked closely with W.P.D.I. to develop a high quality website.
During the course of this project, there were many business meetings, emails, and phone calls, until the final product was completed. Along the way the team had a chance to visit offices and data centers and meet with CIOs, CFOs, Senior Recruiting Officers, and many corporate professionals from the following companies: University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Western Pennsylvania Diversity Initiative, Strategic Energy, MetLife, and U.S. Steel. It was a very rewarding summer experience for the team, one that they will never forget.
Prospective employers are encouraged to contact Professor Heimann at 412-268-8211 to discuss the individual contributions of team members.
